COPENHAMBURG EXHIBIT' | Live Session
I've been kindly invited to close the COPENHAMBURG Exhibition by french artist and photograph @yann_couedel at Hotel SP34 last Thursday night. It was my first show with this project and my first live experience with the Elektron Digitakt and the Circuit Tracks. Since you guys have been here from the very beginning of Atlas Castle, I really wanted to share this first experience with you. - It was both super exiting and scary at the same time to be honest. I'm used to play live events, but always with a full band by my side. Standing there on my own with my machines was a big premiere. There's small fails coming along the way under the set as well, I couldn't avoid them apparently 😅 - How do you think it went?
After the show I got to talk with genuine and curious souls and got questioned about my creative process (people where expecting a DJ set). So here's how I handled it: I used the Elektron Digitakt (a compact sampling machine drum machine) as main brain of my setup to control Kick / Snare / Hi-Hat / Percs / Vocals. Then the Circuit Tracks (a stand alone groove-box with two integrated digital synths) to control Bass / Pads or Lead. All the music is mine, written and performed with those machines. I hope you'll enjoy the outcomes.
Kudos to @chiangmedia for filming the whole session and to @yann_couedel for the invitation to perform 🙏
To create the entire set I used the "Plants" & "Elements" packs especially developed for the Novation Circuit Tracks by @Limbic Bits . If you're into AMBIENT, TECHNO AND ELECTRONICA those packs are made for you. You'll find versatile patches including warm pads, vast digital textures, analogue basses and complex leads. + The Big City Sample Collection for the Elektron Digitakt by Big City - They are all available for purchase at @Isotonik Studios .
